Asus BW-12D1S-U is used Optical Tuning Strategy (OTS) technology that allows smooth playback, and delivers write speeds up to 12x of Blu-ray discs. The BW-12D1S-U has features USB 3.0 connectivity, 4MB of buffer memory, and Blu-ray 3D discs supported.
It is also supports both Dolby EX and 5.1-channel DTS-HD for high definition sound. The Asus BW-12D1S-U fastest external 3D Blu-ray writer promises write speeds of BD-R (12x), BD-R DL (8x), BD-R LTH (6x), BD-RE (2x), DVD-R+R (16x), DVD-R/+R DL and DVD+RW (8x), DVD-RW (6x), DVD-RAM (5x), CD-R (40x), and CD-RW (24x).
Asus BW-12D1S-U 3D Blu-ray writer is now available for pre-order and has price tag €152.38 (about $219).
