The BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 (Bold Touch) have been officially announced by RIM prior to the BlackBerry World that takes place from May 3-5 in Orlando. These phones pack a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, 768 MB RAM, 8 GB of onboard storage which is expendable up to 32 GB via the microSD slot, a 5 megapixel camera with flash and HD video recording, a 2.8″ display with 640×480 resolution (287 PPI) and of course a full QWERTY keyboard.
It goes without saying these smartphones will be running RIM‘s newly announced BlackBerry OS 7. Both phones have quad-band GSM radio for 2G while the 9900 packs a HSPA+ and the 9930 a CDMA radio for 4G connectivity and both of them supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. No pricing info had been revealed yet, but you can expect the devices to go on sale sometime this summer.
