This is Chrysler's performance version of its flagship luxury 300 sedan sporting a new engine, adjustable suspension, exclusive exterior details and interior touches. In place of the previous 6.1-liter Hemi V8, the new 300 SRT8 receives a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 making 470 hp (up 45 hp) and 470 lb-ft of torque (up 50 lb-ft). Like the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and Dodge Charger SRT8, an active exhaust system is outfitted allowing the fuel saver system (four-cylinder operation) to operate over a wider rpm range to increase fuel economy on the highway by an estimated 25 percent, according to Chrysler (The 2010 model was rated at 19 mpg on the highway).
