Samsung unveiled two new digital camera offerings today--Its first rugged pocket camcorder, the Multiproof HMX-W200 Pocket Cam and the ST93 compact snapper. This announcement comes a few days after the chaebol unveiled firmware upgrades for its NX100 and NX10 compact system cameras. The 5-megapixel HMX-W200 is Samsung's first weatherproof pocket camcorder. Fitted with a backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, and a fast f2.2 lens, it is also shockproof (2m), waterproof (3m) and dustproof. The compact shooter comes with a built-in USB plug and does full-HD video recording. Its "Record Pause" feature allows users to record different scenes into one video clip without the hassle of merging multiple files.
